This group is expected to commence events in January 2026
Looking for a fun way to spend your Friday? Come join our group!
We meet on the last Friday of every month at the Prajapati Hall for an evening full of laughter, games, and great company. Whether you're into bingo, darts, party games, or love a good round of Antakshari (yes – we sing our favorite Bollywood hits!), there’s something for everyone.
Sometimes we even switch things up and meet at a local restaurant for a nice meal together. Before each gathering, we’ll check who’s coming and whether you’d prefer veg or non-veg – so everything’s sorted for you.
It’s relaxed, it’s social, and it’s a great way to connect with others in the community. So why not drop by and see what we’re all about?
We’d love to have you with us!
Welcome to the Mahila group — a vibrant space where women in the Prajapati community come together to connect, celebrate, and grow. Our mission is simple: to support each other, preserve our beautiful culture, and inspire spiritual and personal development across all generations.
This year, we proudly celebrated SPA UK's 50th Anniversary, and what a celebration it was! Our London Mahila group brought incredible energy to the Garba dance and the Dinner & Dance evening, truly making our mark.
We also represented London at the Mahila Samelan in Birmingham, where our members shone in the Fashion Show, showing off their creativity, teamwork, and confidence. It was a proud moment to see so many of our women recognised for their passion and dedication.
Spirituality is at the heart of what we do. During Shravan, our weekly Shiv Pooja sessions offered a peaceful, shared space for prayer and connection.
We recently hosted the Shraddh Bhajans - a heartfelt gathering to honour our ancestors (Pitrs) and pass down important cultural values to younger generations.
We're excited for Navratri, starting 22nd September, featuring joyful dance, devotion, and even a special Children’s Garba — a perfect way to involve the younger generation in our traditions.
We’re committed to building a strong, supportive space for women to thrive. Through events, workshops, and volunteering opportunities, we’re helping women step into leadership, stay spiritually connected, and keep our traditions alive and evolving.
If you’re passionate about culture, community, or just want to meet like-minded women — we’d love for you to be part of the Mahila group. Together, we celebrate our heritage, lift each other up, and build a stronger future — one event, one gathering, one connection at a time.
Want to give back to the community and be part of a great team? Join the Samaj Seva Group using the form above on this page.
We’re a group of dedicated volunteers who come together to help during Samaj events and functions. Whether it’s setting up the hall, serving food, helping with event logistics, or just pitching in wherever needed — we work as a team to make every event run smoothly.
It’s a great way to stay involved, meet others, and support the Samaj in a meaningful way. No special skills needed — just a willingness to help and a positive spirit!
If you enjoy being hands-on and making a difference, we’d love to have you on board.
Join our fantastic group of retired folks who meet up every week for a social walk around London. We’re not just walking—we’re sharing life stories, cracking jokes, swapping DIY tips, and even passing on some tech know-how. Whether we’re strolling through parks, along rivers, or by canals, it’s all about having fun and staying active.
We pick a different tube station each Wednesday and set off on our adventure—some of our recent walks have taken us to places like Greenwich Park, Battersea Park, Ruislip Wood, and Richmond Park. And we always aim for at least 10,000 steps, with a pit stop for a budget-friendly lunch or refreshment at the end.
What started as a small group has now grown to 24 members, and we’re all about making the most of our time together. But it’s not just about the walk—it’s about giving back too. Every member donates £1 for each walk they complete, and this year, we’ve raised £550 for Great Ormond Street Children Hospital. With some extra support from our SPA London Samaj committee, we’ve managed to raise £1,025 in total!
If you’re looking for a way to get active, explore London, meet new people, and support a great cause, come join us. You’ll have a blast, get some steps in, and help make a difference—all while enjoying great conversation and a few laughs along the way.
Earlier this year, a lovely group of ladies in their 60s came together to perform Garba for London’s 50th Anniversary celebration. They created their own steps, practiced weekly, and delivered a performance that made their children and grandchildren beam with pride!
They had such a great time, they’ve decided to keep it going! Now, they meet every Monday at 8:00 PM (starting after Hindu New Year – 27th October 2025) for dancing, laughter, fitness, and friendship.
New members are always welcome! Whether you’ve got new steps, favourite songs, or just want to join the fun — come along! Sessions are just £2.

This group brings together members who enjoy singing bhajans, learning traditional devotional songs, and playing musical instruments.

Many different sports have been organised by this group. Currently badminton is being played and hopefully soon we will start 5-a-side football. We also hope to introduce other sports and activities like cricket and tennis.
The SPA badminton club has been running since January 2025. This new venture has been very successful. We are currently having a summer break and will be resuming again on Sunday 14th September onwards. We are encouraging new members to join, with mixed abilities, beginners to professionals. Everyone of all ages is welcome to join. The cost is only £2.50 per person. Every Sundays 3:30 to 5pm at Kingsbury High School. The sports hall has four courts. There are now 52 members on the badminton group. The attendees have mixed abilities from beginners to high standard. Training is provided for new starters. Feedback from many players was very positive and encouraging.
We would appreciate volunteers in general to join and help organise the sporting activities. Sports provides the opportunity for all our community to come together and be active for our health and wellbeing.
We’ve chosen weekends for our walks to give those of us with full-time or part-time jobs the chance to get out and enjoy some fresh air. Our walks are mostly based in and around the Harrow/Wembley areas, on Saturday mornings around 11 AM, usually starting from a London Underground station. Over time we introduce new routes and areas to keep things exciting.
Each walk lasts around 1.5 to 2 hours, with a break halfway for tea, coffee, fruit, or water. Some routes are circular, while others go from point A to B. We’ve explored places like Harrow-on-the-Hill, Northwood Hills, Stanmore Country Park, Battersea Park and viewing Christmas lights!
In the summer, we focus on parks and woodlands, while in winter, we venture into central London. These walks are open to both men and women, and best of all, they’re completely free. So if you're looking for a fun and relaxed way to get outside, meet new people, and enjoy the weekend, come join us.
In the past few years, we've had some insightful feedback from young people in our community — and it's really helped shape a new wave of cultural activities that are exciting, inclusive, and designed for all ages within the Prajapati community. These events bring us together, help us learn, and build a real sense of pride in who we are.
For our youngest members, it’s all about fun and learning through play. We've had things like a Mini Prajapati Festival with crafts and stories, a Cultural Dress Parade, a Junior Talent Show, cooking workshops, and even a Heritage Treasure Hunt that gets them excited about their roots.
This is where friendship, creativity, and leadership take the spotlight. Whether it’s planning a Bollywood Night, running charity drives, joining a sports league, starting a podcast or YouTube channel, or taking part in a Cultural Hackathon — there’s no shortage of ways to get involved and make an impact.
This group is all about connection, confidence, and culture. We’ve hosted professional networking mixers, Food & Fusion Nights, adventure days, practical workshops, Yoga, Chai & Paint nights, Singles Mingles, and even a Cultural & Charity Gala. It’s a great space to meet others, grow personally and professionally, and celebrate our culture in modern ways.
Some events bring everyone together — like our Annual Prajapati Carnival, Family Sports Day, Diya-lighting before Diwali, community gardening projects, cultural movie nights, and the heartwarming “Adopt a Grandparent” program.
Through all of these activities, we’re creating more than just events — we’re building connections, celebrating our heritage, and passing on our values in ways that feel fresh, fun, and meaningful.
